OU sagen über die Single: “輪迴 Reborn” is probably the most vulnerable song of OU to date. It’s also one of Lynn’s favorite songs off our second album. The music of OU goes where it wants to go, and this song happened to go in a direction with some pop sensibilities, which in context with the rest of the album sounds really fresh to our ears.”
Anthony Vanacore fügt zum album Release hinzu: “From writing and arranging, recording and editing, to mixing, producing and mastering, OU’s second album encompassed probably somewhere around the 1500-2000 hour mark to make a reality. As with the first album, it goes into a lot of uncharted territory where many times you just have to take that leap of faith during the process of creation. Working with Devin Townsend was one of the great honors of my life, I learned a lot from him, gained a lot of inspiration from his brilliance, and will always be grateful for the time and care he put into this. Thank you, Devin. I would also like to thank InsideOutMusic for supporting such an album that breaks almost all conventions and thank all the people that support the music of OU. We hope the music finds those who will resonate with it!”
Devin Townsend ergänzt: "As I age, I find myself growing easily bored with new music, which is disappointing as a music fan. SIX BY SIX NEUES ALBUM "BEYOND SHADOWLAND" JETZT ERSCHIENEN; ERSTEN EU LIVETERMINE ANGEKÜNDIGT
SiX By SiX, das progressive Power-Trio um Ian Crichton (Saga), Nigel Glockler (Saxon) und Robert Berry (3.2), veröffentlicht ihr brandneues Album "Beyond Shadowland“. Zu diesem Anlass geben sie auch ihre ersten europäischen Live-Termine bekannt.
Die Band wird in der zweiten Septemberhälfte drei Shows in Deutschland und den Niederlanden spielen, bevor sie im Oktober auf dem renommierten ProgStock Festival in den USA auftritt.
Robert Berry sagt: “I cannot wait to step out on stage for the first time with Ian and Nigel. Having come together as a band originally in 2020, we have made two albums and in the process spent plenty of time together in my studio in northern California. But until now the diaries have never quite aligned for us to be able to play live. I’m hoping that these shows will be the first of many in the coming years.”
Ian Crichton ergänzt: “Over the years I have been a regular visitor to Europe playing numerous shows with Saga and always enjoy playing to appreciative European fans. I am really excited about the prospect of SiX By SiX performing live. We’ve got enormous potential as a live band and the format of a trio really gives me the chance to stretch out on the guitar – and I fully intend to make the most of the opportunity!”
Nigel Glockler kommentiert: “From the day I joined Robert and Ian in SiX By SiX, we were all absolutely united in wanting this to be a proper band that gets out on the road rather than just another studio project. I’m delighted that we’re now making it happen with this short run of dates and am looking forward to getting close up with fans in some smaller venues and establishing SiX By SiX as a live band.”
