ANTROPOMORPHIA heißen zweiten Gitarristen willkommen!
Die kontroversen Death Metaller von ANTROPOMORPHIA haben einen zweiten Gitarristen in die Band aufgenommen.

Hier ein Statement der Band: "After an extended journey through the mazes of darkness a new fire has been lit to illuminate our ritual masses. We are proud to announce that we've welcomed a new member to our nekromantian horde : J. (full name Jos van den Brand) is an experienced guitar player who we know for many years and played in several prestigious Dutch (death) metal acts since the early '90's. With J in our presence the preparations have begun to open the portals and to set ablaze every stage that comes on our path/journey.

Darüber hinaus haben ANTROPOMORPHIA auf einen Brief reagiert, den ihr Label Metal Blade Records von der deutschen BPJM bekommen hat. Er enthielt die Nachricht, dass das aktuelle Album der Band, Evangelivm Nekromantia, evtl. auf dem Index landen soll. Der Brief beanstandet das Cover Artwork und den Song Fleisch, die beide Tötungen und Gewalt in unangemessener Weise darstellen. Außerdem scheinen sie auch mit dem Titel der Platte nicht unbedingt glücklich zu sein. Die Band über den Sachverhalt: "We've made certain people nervous and uncomfortable with our music and lyrical content. In order to 'protect' the children, it's quite possible 'Evangelivm Nekromantia' will be banned and removed from German stores. Through their ridiculous and hypocrite way of thinking they are not letting people use their own intelligence or freedom of choice, this in an era where you turn on the news and see the world's vile and repulsive excrements in full HD. These people are nothing more than a bunch of pitiful sheep! They might think this ban will be castigation but it will only strengthen us in our opposition towards these sad shallow people that crowd the world with their insignificant lives. To us, it's the perfect representation of people without perception other than a retarded opinion about an artistic expression."

BEYOND THE SHORE haben die dritte Single ihres neuen Albums Ghostwatcher veröffentlicht. Das neue Stück Glass Houses steht exklusiv als Stream auf Loudwire.com zur Verfügung. KLickt HIER! Neue Dates bestätigt, die Gigroute steht!

Die Vegan-Knüppelbarden CATTLE DECAPITATION kehren im April als direkter Support von CRYPTOPSY nach Europa zurück. Zusätzlich sind noch folgende Bands mit an Bord: DECREPIT BIRTH und THE LAST SHOT OF WAR.

Heute feiert Hadopelagic II: Let Them Believe, die zweite Single aus dem neuen THE OCEAN-Album Pelagial (VÖ: 26. April, Metal Blade Records), offiziell Premiere.

Die erste Single Bathyalpelagic II: The Wish in Dreams, das Artwork und Vorbestellmöglichkeiten finden sich auf http://www.metalblade.com/theocean/. An gleicher Stelle wartet außerdem eine zweite Clipreihe aus dem Studio. Seid dabei, wie Sänger Loic Rossetti seinen Gesang aufnimmt und pikante Details zum Beinahe-Verlust seiner Stimme erzählt.

Ihr bis dato wohl tiefsinnigstes und bahnbrechendstes Werk ist eine progressive musikalische Reise, geschrieben, aufgenommen, abgemischt und live angedacht als ein einziges, 53 Minuten langes Stück Musik! Mix und Mastering wurden in die Hände von Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Witchcraft) in seinen Fascination Street Studios im schwedischen Örebrö gelegt. Pelagial erscheint in Europa am 26./29. April und in Nordamerika am 30. April auf Metal Blade Records. Pelagial wird in Europa als Doppel-CD (inkl. Vokal- und Instrumentalversion des Albums) am 26./29. April auf Metal Blade Records erscheinen. Der nordamerikanische Release erfolgt am 30. Mai.

Das Konzept der Scheibe wohnt ihrem Titel inne, Pelagial. Der Zuhörer taucht ein und unter auf eine Reise zusammen mit der Band, die an der Oberfläche des Ozeans beginnt und durch alle pelagialen Tiefenzonen nach unten führt: epipelagial, mesopelagial, bathypelagial, abyssopelagial und hadopelagial. Proportional zum schwindenden Licht und dem zunehmenden Wasserdruck bei größer werdender Tiefe, fängt das Album eher leicht und beschwingt an, wird progressiver und härter und kommt am Ende der hadopelagialen Zone fast zum Stillstand, wo komplette Finsternis und im Vergleich zur Oberfläche ein unvorstellbarer Druck herrscht. Das Faszinierende an Pelagial ist dabei die Tatsache, dass es sich nicht um ein abgehobenes Konzept handelt, sondern um die Umsetzung einer Idee, die man während des Hörens wirklich fühlen, hören und greifen kann.

WHITECHAPEL kündigen weitere Sommer-Dates in Europa an!
"The Somatic Defilement" Re-Issue: Musik und Vorbestellmöglichkeiten ab jetzt online!

WHITECHAPELs Debütalbum The Somatic Defilement ist die Scheibe, die für diese Band den Weg an die Spitze des modernen Death Metals ebnete. Deswegen haben die Musiker ihren Erstling nochmals in die Hand genommen und zu Mark Lewis für einen kompletten Remix und Remastering in die Audiohammer Studios gebracht. Das Endergebnis ist beeindruckend, denn es gleicht The Somatic Defilement den modernen Standards an, die für die aktuellen Scheiben der Band gelten. Fans können ab sofort auf metalblade.com/whitechapel in die Scheibe reinhören und sie vorbestellen. Sie erscheint am 12./15. April!

The Somatic Defilement erschien im Original im Jahre 2007 und ist ein Konzeptalbum über Jack the Rippers weltbekannte Prostituiertenmorde in Londons Stadtteil WHITECHAPEL. Diese Wiederveröffentlichung forderte die Fähigkeiten von Produzent Mark Lewis heraus, der die sechs Jahre alten Songs dem heutigen Standard anpassen musste.

Die aktuelle, selbstbetitelte Scheibe der Band landete auf #47 in den US Top 200 Charts, auf #10 in den US Top Independent Albums Charts, auf #3 in den US Hard Music Albums Charts (Current), auf #2 in den US Hard Music Albums Charts (Core Stores) und auf #64 in den US Top Digital Album Chart.

Whitechapel war außerdem eines der am meisten gefeierten Alben des Sommers und konnte begeisterte Kritiken von angesehenen Medien wie The New York Times, Alternative Press und Metal Hammer einsacken. Außerdem meldete die Platte Ansprüche an auf das iTunes UK Metal Album of the Year 2012!
