BL'AST!: Exclusive Blood! Album Stream And Interview Now Live At Spin Magazine

Today, Spin Magazine is hosting a worldwide exclusive stream of Blood!, the newly-released but long-ago-recorded LP from iconic '80s Santa Cruz surf/skate/hardcore act, BL'AST!.

Now available worldwide via Southern Lord, the Blood! masters were unearthed by the members of BL'AST! earlier this year and delivered to Southern Lord Recordings. The label immediately contacted Dave Grohl to mix the material at his 606 Studios, on the legendary Neve console as featured in the recent Grohl-produced documentary Sound City, preparing the album for release somewhere in the vicinity of two-and-a-half decades after their inception! Additionally, the recordings were from a rare lineup in the band's lineage, being the only recordings ever made while short-lived second guitarist William Duvall (Neon Christ, currently the vocalist for Alice In Chains) was a part of the BL'AST! family.

As the first BL'AST! album to see release since their 1989 Take The Manic Ride LP hits stores worldwide this week, today longtime music powerhouse publication, Spin Magazine, is streaming Blood! in its entirety. Additionally, Spin is running an exclusive interview with BL'AST! vocalist Clifford Dinsmore about the release of Blood!, the feature also including an interrogation with Dave Grohl about his involvement and longtime fandom, thoughts from ex-guitarist/current Alice in Chains vocalist William Duvall and more.

Check out this massive feature and listen to the thunder of Blood! now at Spin Magazine RIGHT HERE.

Formed in 1982, BL'AST! released their debut album, The Power of Expression in 1985, scorching audiences everywhere with their unique and innovative, technical and boundary-free style of raging hardcore punk. This caught the attention of SST Records who released the band's second album, It's In My Blood, in 1987, as well as their third LP, Take The Manic Ride in 1989. BL'AST!'s wide-eyed, ambitious approach and intense perseverance became an influence for many bands to come. Shortly after the release of Take The Manic Ride, the band broke up and their story was buried by time and dust....until now.
