RIWEN feat. Mitglieder von Cult Of Luna und Totalt Jävla Mörker präsentieren ihre erste Scheibe

In Sachen Hardcore sind die Schweden – Rotzrock hin, Retrorock her – schon immer eine ganz besonders aktive Nation.
Dabei legen die Skandinavier immer einen coolen Fokus auf die Punk-Roots des Genres.
Hinter RIWEN stecken nun einige echte Szenehelden.
Johannes Persson von CULT OF LUNA hat sich mit ein paar Kumpels von den altgedienten TOTALT JÄVLA MÖRKER zusammengetan und kommentiert das erste Lebenszeichen "Riwen" folgendermaßen genau auf den Punk(t):
"This is simple, raw and fast. Tailor-made to induce mosh mayhem and walls of death."
Johannes hatte keinen Bock mehr auf die großen Produktionen seiner Stammband und wollte zurück zu den Roots.
Und die liegen im schnellen, rohen In-die-Fresse-Hardcore!
Johannes: "I decided to write 14 songs in 14 days inspired by the bands I worshiped as vegan straight edge punk kid: Judge, Battery, Integrity, ACME and Damnation AD. The concept is to not spend 1 000 days in the studio and nitpick over every drumbeat and production details. The musical destruction has to be alive and direct. I hooked up with Fredrik and Christian, both with a past in the crust/grind terror force Totalt Jävla Mörker. One rehearsal sealed the deal. Adding guitar player Marita and bass player Christoffer 138 (DS-13, AC4, Epileptic Terror Attack, Sonic Ritual etc.) the line-up was complete. And thus, we are ready to slam dance all over the world. Are you ready? Tonight we ride!”
Die Band hat "Riwen" innerhalb einer Nacht eingehämmert.
Das Ding erscheint als 10"-Vinyl und schicke Digipak-CD.
