Video Premiere: TEODASIA's 'Ghosts'
"Ghosts", the brand new video from Italian masters of symphonic metal TEODASIA, can be seen below. The song is the first with new frontman Giacomo Voli (nationally famous for being the first metalhead getting to the finals on the TV show The Voice) and anticipates a new album due by the beginning of 2016.
The Venice-based band was formed in 2006 as a female-fronted symphonic rock/metal band and was first noticed in Europe thanks to a successful tour with former Nightwish Tarja Turunen and have released, so far, a full lenght "Upwards"; (2012), its follow-up "Reflections" (2013) and multiple singles among which one, "The lost words of forgiveness" featuring Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire, Vision Divine, Angra and Hollow Haze).
The video for GHOSTS was shot by Italian director Francesco Collinelli and features the actors Alberto Baraghini and Mery Landeta.
"The main idea behind the video is that of avoiding all the cliches of the genre: no fantasy, no dragons, no castles" - states Collinelli - "we wanted to give an urban vibe to it and we got to the core even further. It all revolves around the dream of a ghost: raw, dirty, where the female character is both positive and negative but always vanishing. The band is also displayed in a pretty minimalistic, simple fashion."
Speaking of fashion, TEODASIA's look was partially endorsed by italian rock fashion brand Bad Spirit (Metallica, Lacuna Coil).
The single GHOSTS was mastered in Helsinki at FinnVox Studios and will be available shortly through all main digital portals.
