The eighth album of the leading Hungarian folk metal band was released on September 7th 2015 by NAIL Records / Hammer Music, which follows the group’s tradition as it carries the traditional name of the month July. “Áldás” was available at „Rock On! Fest” one day before the official release date. The album release show was at FolkFest in the company of Korpiklaani, Arkona and Kylfingar on November 6th 2015.

“Áldás” opened at the second place in its release week on the main Hungarian album chart MAHASZ and kept itself in the TOP40 ever since. There was also one week when all of Dalriada’s CDs so far were in the TOP30.

The crème of the Hungarian rock / metal scene was featured on “Áldás”. Famous vocals guests were: Schrott Péter (Tűzmadár), Nagy Gábor (Wisdom) and Szebényi Dániel (ex-Avatar, ex-Hard, ex-Kard, ex-Phoenix Files, Atilla Fiai Társulat). In the song called „Úri toborzó” Cserfalvi Zoltán solo guitarist (Iron Maidnem, Chronology, ex-Ossian, ex-Eclipse, ex-Euphoria, ex-Lady Macbeth/Machbeth, ex-Rémkoppantók, etc.) plays. Boross Béla (Iron Maidnem, Chronology, ex-Tequila Sunrise) featured in „Moldvageddon” .

The first lyric video was made for „Amit ad az ég” and it was followed by all the other songs of the album. Finally, on February 17th 2016 the first official video arrived for the title song “Áldás”. The short movie was recorded by Mihaszna Film and it has two main characters. The story goes back to the folk tale times.

Ficzek András vocalist, guitarist and band leader tells the following about the new video and Dalriada’s future plans:
“Our new album was released in September 2015 and at the same time entered the MAHASZ charts. During that autumn / winter we recorded our new video as well for the title song “Áldás”. The crew was Mihaszna Film. They also made our previous video, “A Dudás”.

You should see this multi-actor video several times to fully understand. Both concept and design are the work of Nagy Viktor who brought nothing less than wonderful professionalism and creativity to the co-operation.

We are planning a new video, to be shot this spring for the song “Moldvageddon”.  We are going to use mainly snapshots and short video scenes recorded on tour in 2015. This will be a “backstage” kind of video.

The beginning of 2016 is about preparing and recording our long planned acoustic album. The expected release date will be around May. Besides 11 well-known Dalriada songs it will contain two famous Hungarian and one international song cover. Finally we will set a poem from a Hungarian poet to music. That is the structure of our upcoming album, featuring 15 songs. The studio work is already in progress.

Our next big event will be on May 13th as we are going to give a big show at Barba Negra Music Club in Budapest. This will be a special night as guests and friends of ours will take part in it as well. The show will be separated in two sections: there will be an acoustic session as the premiere of the acoustic album. The other part will be a pure metal set - containing mainly songs of “Áldás”.

„Áldás” album was released in three different formats. Besides the digipack CD and the old-school cassette tape there’s a limited extra version as well.

The extra version contains the full booklet and a bonus CD, „Mesék, álmok, regék”, which is a best-of compilation of Dalriada. It was released before as the annex of Hammerworld magazine in July / August 2015. But it wasn’t available yet as a single release. It contains the remastered versions of the all-time favorite songs of the band and two exclusive, previously unreleased tracks. One is the acoustic cover of „Kinizsi multsága” with Kárpáti Péter guitarist and the other is the updated version of „Walesi bárdok” featuring Schmiedl Tamás (Moby Dick, Bloody Roots).
