BLACK CROWN INITIATE PRÄSENTIEREN NEUEN GITARRISTEN UND NEUEN SONG
BLACK CROWN INITIATE verkünden offiziell den Ausstieg ihres langjährigen Gitarristen Rik Stelzpflug. Wes Hauch, vorher bei THE FACELESS, wird in seine Fußstapfen treten. "It's a really rare and awesome thing if you're able to find a group of dudes that you can genuinely get along with," says Hauch. "It's even more rare if your musical tastes and goals are congruent. I can definitely say that's the case right now in Black Crown Initiate and I'm very grateful. Things are great and I'm looking forward to the the future."

BLACK CROWN INITIATE veröffentlichen ihr neues Album Selves We Cannot Forgive am 22.07.2016 via Long Branch Records / SPV in Europa. Wie auch bereits das vorherige Material der Band wurde das neue Album vonBlack Crown Initiates langjährigem Partner Carson Slovak (August Burns Red, Texas In July, From Ashes to New) in desssen Atrium Audio Studios in Pennsylvania produziert. Für das Artwork zeichnet sich Travis Smith(Opeth, Devin Townsend, Avenged Sevenfold) verantwortlich.
"We've been through a great deal as a band since our last release," erzählt Thomas. "We've grown a great deal as writers, players, and people and put everything we had into this one. We feel it is a more than fitting next chapter for the band; one that we are truly proud and excited to enter. We hope you all enjoy it too. See you on the road!"
Black Crown Initiate haben sich einen Weg in das kollektive Bewusstsein der Heavy Metal Community gebahnt – mit stetiger Beharrlichkeit und durch die Teilnahme an berüchtigten Touren wie der Summer Slaughter und der Metal Alliance sowie als Begleitband von Acts wie Behemoth, Napalm Death, Deicide, Voivod, Crowbar, Unearth, Darkest Hour, Goatwhore und Rivers Of Nihil. Selves We Cannot Forgive ist eine schlanke und fokussierte Sammlung, die das überschüssige Fett, das nur allzu häufig bei ambitionierten Metalbands zu finden ist, einfach über Bord wirft und dabei ein Gleichgewicht zwischen unerschrockener Abenteuerlust und methodischer Macht schafft. Es folgt dem wuchtigen Debutalbum The Wreckage of Stars, das zusammen mit ihrem selbstfinanzierten Song von der Crippled Bull EP erstmals gezeigt hat, wie Black Crown Initiate sich mit allem, von Friedrich Nietzsche und dem griechischen Sophisten Gorgias über Hinduismus und Buddhismus bis hin zu indigener Mystik, kompromisslos und mit pragmatischer Skepsis auseinandersetzt.
Im Anschluss werden BLACK CROWN INITIATE zusammen mit BORN OF OSIRIS, VEIL OF MAYA und VOLUMES auf der Sumerian Alliance durch Europa touren.
