Rendezvous Point veröffentlichen neue Single Universal Chaos
Die Norwegische Progressive Metal Band Rendezvous Point legt mit "Universal Chaos" die zweite Single und Titelsong des neuen Studioalbums, samt Video, vor.
In den letzten Jahren konnte sich das Quintett um Leprous Schlagzeuger Baard Kolstad durch Ihre tighten energiegeladenen Performances auf Europatouren mit Haken, Leprous und Long Distance Calling eine treue Fangemeinde erspielen. Mit "Universal Chaos" erscheint am 24.05. das zweite Studioalbum der Band.

"Our plan was to shoot both Apollo and Universal Chaos the same weekend. The reason we wanted Universal Chaos as a single was that it was a huge contrast to Apollo, and we wanted to showcase the diversity in our sound with the two singles.
We ended up using the same factory location for both music videos. Universal Chaos was meant to be a pure playthrough video of the band playing, as well as the individual members. Since the factory was so large, we managed to find cool locations for all the different instrument shoots. The band scene ended up looking pretty cool as well, standing in the huge room, looking outward. Luckily it also snowed a little from the outside and in, so it ended up looking pretty epic with the band scene. But our fingers were freezing pretty bad when we did the shots. But it was definitely worth it, knowing how cool it would look."

It shines light on feelings of escape, the digital world, suppressing emotions, losing control over oneself and the battle with inner demons. Nach Ihrem von Kritikern gefeiertem Debutalbum “Solar Storm” (2015) erscheint mit “Universal Chaos” nun das lang ersehnte zweite Studioalbum der Band um Leprous Schlagzeuger Baard Kolstad.
Das Material auf “Universal Chaos” überzeugt mit starkem Songwriting und zeigt eine hochtalentierte Band, die sich in den vergangenen Jahren noch einmal deutlich weiterentwickelt hat. Treibendes Schlagzeug, grollende Bässe, raue Gitarren und große Synthflächen vereinen sich mit kräftigem Gesang um gemeinsam die Grenzen des Progressive Metal Genres auszuloten. Das Ergebnis ist ein verspieltes Klangerlebnis voller versteckter Details.
Rendezvous Point sind Geirmund Hansen am Gesang, Baard Kolstad am Schlagzeug (Leprous), Petter Hallaråker an der Gitarre, Nicolay Tangen Svennæs an den Keyboards (Ihsahn, Bernhoft, Emilie Nicolas) und Gunn-Hilde Erstad am Bass.
