HELLBOUND - neues Video und Album
Today Swedish supergroup Hellbound based in Umeå is finally ready to reveal first new music in 6 years, a video for the title track Overlords. The album Overlords is set to be released on May 29 via Discouraged Records.
Hellbound was formed in 2011 by guitarist Nils Norberg (ex Nocturnal Rites) and singer Miika Rudin (Scumkill). The band was soon supplemented by Nicklas Bäckström (Moloken) on bass and David Ekevärn (ex Ghamorean, ex Apostasy) on drums.
In 2012, they released the acclaimed debut album "Through Hell and Muddy Waters" and made their live debut at the House of Metal festival in the hometown of Umeå. Hellbound's music has been described as Hillbilly-metal, Swamp-metal and "The bastard child of Rob Zombie and Dolly Parton". In 2013, founder Nils Norberg jumped off the band and has since been replaced by the duo Henrik Mikaelsson and Mathias Nylén (both from Live Elephant). The album has some interesting featured artists like Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear) and choirs all over the album by Anders Engberg (Sorcerer).
