MR. TRICKSTER – new video "Overlord" from the new EP “Teach Me How The Real World Isn't".
Mr. Trickster is an all-around rock project that draws inspiration from anything. Listening, one discovers a deep connection to melody, inventive chord progressions, raw emotion and artistic spirit, with influences from various genres. From 90's rock and punk to 70's jazz/blues style, from funk metal to progressive rock. If you can't imagine what it would be like when Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Yes met Jeff Buckley, Soundgarden, Radiohead, Faith No More, The Smashing Pumpkins and Muse and were composing an album, then give Mr. Trickster a listen.
On February 19th they released the new EP "Teach Me How The Real World Isn't" and from this EP the band give to the fans the new video "Overlord".
Mr. Trickster about Overlord:
The original idea comes from the lyrics. They refer to the misinformation and disorientation of the masses, to the issue of privacy and the purchase of personal data by companies that act as states. Of course I couldn’t ignore the stupidity that prevails for good out there especially when you see academic people, biologists, doctors being canceled by a stupid wave of uneducated and uninformed individuals.
There is the misconception of many, that for all that is given freely out there, there is no cost, especially when we talk about information, knowledge and art.
In the video it developed more specifically, in the part of conservatism, which is one of the main ways of oppressing the masses. With the main protagonist as a man who lives in his fantasies, we watch him slowly lose the control that society has imposed on him.
