Fronted by charismatic John ‘Wardi’ Ward, PsychoWard have a long-standing history in the rock ‘n roll scene.
With an impending full length album set for release on January 12, 2024, PsychoWard are drip feeding goodies, and Crazy Angel is a delicious taste of what’s coming.

Crazy Angel tells the story of being down and out, of feeling like you’ve hit rock bottom, with nowhere left to go.
Wardi expands, “You feel like your life’s at an end, then suddenly this force comes from above to bring you out of your body to make you spiritually sound again. It’s like a saviour from the higher levels of Heaven pulling you from the despair of Hell.”
A song about finding light in the darkness, Crazy Angel takes heartfelt lyrics with a message of hope and laces it through a classic 80’s metal sound that uplifts and excites and will have your heads banging.
UK born Wardi is flying the flag high for keeping the 80’s metal sound alive; who better than he to do so, as a veteran who lived through, and was extremely active in the era, living in L.A when heavy metal was dominating 80’s Hollywood.
Wardi has worked with the likes of Slash, Madam X and Hurricane, and his former band, Shame, was managed by Gene Simmons up until 1992. In 1994 Wardi took over vocal duties in Shy for a time, after the departure of Tony Mills. When the grunge movement started to gain momentum in the states, Wardi returned to the UK to continue recording and touring with Oliver Dawson Saxson.
In 2015, Wardi relocated to Spain where he crossed paths with six-string legend Miguel Angel Lopez Escamez, and the story of PsychoWard began.
Miguel has played in numerous chart-topping, legendary 1980’s Spanish bands, and has lent his guitar skills to over 50 recordings, including projects with artists like Edge Of The Blade, Rowan Robertson, Gene Allen, Dave Marshall and more.
With the combined forces of Wardi and Miguel, as well as PyschoWard bassist Gonso and drummer Tony Montana, their forthcoming album, Committed, is guaranteed to be a massive eruption of classic heavy metal.
Committed features 11 tracks, including Crazy Angel, and artwork is done by the talented Arkham Artwork.
In conjunction with Battlegod Productions, PsychoWard will be unleashing Committed into the world on January 12, 2024 and Crazy Angel is out now!
