Never On Sunday II – neue EP veröffentlicht
Never on Sunday II present the digital release of their debut EP, “We’re Not Muppets”. The EP contains six songs that were recorded in the summer of 2023, in Athens.
The band’s musical quest begins in a run-down house in New Orleans. Seeing a bus from afar, they run and hop in, only to find them selves in a bizarre scenario with a woman named Sabrina.- To escape her murderous long hair, they press the stop button and get off the bus to search for the Muppet Master. Things don’t go exactly as planned and in their futile attempt to find him, they get killed. Tough times for the resurrected, as they wake up in a devastated landscape, filled with nothing but skeletons. Looking for traces of life they end up in a haunted house, where they spend the night communicating with ghosts. Next morning, they quarrel with a dwarf, find an abandoned steamroller and drive off to seek their fortune.
The story of Never on Sunday begins in the year 1970, as a group of friends hanging out in Piraeus, playing rhythm & blues. Their musical influences were music records that sailors brought to the port in the 60s. In January 2022, Never on Sunday transformed into Never on Sunday II, a different combination of friends that decided to open up to the world and share their music.
