Axe-master Rogga Johansson comments: "The first line of this song is 'Born in a casket garden'. I mean, come on, does it get more death metal than that? Mid-paced riff-happy heaviness with a massive groove, that's what it's all about here. And it's all topped off with some of the best vocals in the scene and finished with a heavy-ass, simple chorus that drives the point home like a mallet to the skull!"
To introduce the current members of LEPER COLONY to any self-respecting death metal connoisseur would be like carrying coals to Newcastle. Just in case, German vocalist Marc Crewe has long-established his name as the former frontman of MORGOTH, and later with INSIDIOUS DISEASE as well as with the band ASINHELL. Guitarist and bass player Rogga Johansson has left a massive mark on Swedish death metal in a host of bands including PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER, and REVOLTING. WOMBBATH guitarist Håkan Stuvemark has taken over lead guitar and he was joined as a new member by British drummer Jon Rudin, who is well-known from MONSTROUS and DEAD SUN among several other death metal acts.
With "Those of the Morbid", LEPER COLONY give old school death metal fanatics exactly the brutal and uncompromising album that they have been waiting for.
