Formed in 2016 when its members were just 15 years old, Intrepid has steadily risen from Tallinn’s underground to become one of Estonia’s most talked-about extreme metal acts. With their signature blend of old-school death metal intensity and youthful fearlessness, they’ve built a reputation for delivering relentless, high-energy performances that captivate and confront in equal measure.
Today Intrepid release the first single "Opiated Consumption" taken off of their upcoming new album "Juxtaposition" to be released on June 4th, 2025.

After honing their craft on local stages, Intrepid burst onto the international scene with their first European tour in 2023 alongside death metal veterans Monstrosity and Origin. In 2024, they returned to the road with Nile and Hideous Divinity, promoting their dual-track EP “Slaying of Sanity / Murder of Mind.”
Now, Intrepid enters a new chapter with the release of their upcoming full-length album “Juxtaposition,” out June 4, 2025. A title that reflects their dynamic approach to extreme music—brutal yet nuanced, technical yet instinctive—Juxtaposition was mixed and mastered by renowned producer Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Dying Fetus, The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel), ensuring a massive and modern production that matches the band’s growing ambition.
Musically rooted in the swampy aggression of early Florida death metal, Intrepid doesn’t shy away from experimentation, weaving in elements of technicality, groove, and atmosphere. Their live presence is visceral and ever-evolving—a kind of metabolic exchange with the audience, shifting between inviting and hostile depending on the energy in the room.
