WISHING WELL veröffentlichen "WAR CRY" Single

Finland's classic metal torchbearers Wishing Well have released a new war-themed song called "War Cry".

The new track is slow and energetic metal song, which features cowbell and band's trademark, Arto Teppo's Hammond organ.

The song is full of powerful wishingwellish guitar riffs and the strong lead melody and lyrics tell the always current, too well known story about man and war. The song was recorded last autumn in Magnusborg studios, in Porvoo. The video was filmed by Jussi Koskinen and it was edited by Jussi Koskinen together with David Bagaric (Morbid Film Studios).

"This song goes way back but we rewrote most parts of it, through many trials and errors. At the end of the day it became exactly what we wanted it to be, now it sounds just like us and as a bonus it's great to play it live.", says Anssi Korkiakoski, the guitar player and bandleader of Wishing Well.

At the moment the band is working on their fifth album, due to be released in the spring of 2026. "We have very strong material in the works now and we feel it will be our strongest album so far", says Korkiakoski.

In June Wishing Well will support Graham Bonnet Band on their tour in Finland. In November the band supports Girlschool and Alcatrazz as they tour Finland.
