Heavy Metal veterans Zygnema from India – Mumbai release another fierce, energetic and a powered packed music video for ‘To Reach the Gods’ from the ‘ICONIC’ EP.
This track is unique in its own kind. It retains some amount of Indian tonality which is evidently heard in the short passing guitar solo along. Also not to forget the main guitar riff that’s composed using an Indian/ Carnatic Scale (also known as ragas) which is called the ‘Panthuvarali Raagshree’
To make this track completely different from their style, Zygnema added a good amount of string section in parts that emotes a serious shift and takes the song to another level. The Classical nylon string guitar solo over the marching snare part is a complete refresher that helps the song to breathe and builds a new bridge into a systematic polyrhythmic chaos which is nothing less than gnarly and heavy.
The music video showcases intense and high energy performance which rubs off on the audience. The legacy that the band has carved over close to 2 decades simply speaks volumes and makes every live gig a memorable one.
