Paul Draper - Albumankündigung & erstes Video
Das Album "Mansun Retold", das am 20. Februar erscheint, präsentiert Paul Draper in neuem Gewand.
Er interpretiert einige der bekanntesten Songs aus dem Repertoire von Mansun neu und arrangiert sie von Grund auf als akustische Unplugged-Versionen mit kompletter Bandbesetzung. Heute veröffentlichte er die erste Songauskopplung "I’ve Seen The Top Of The Mountain Retold".
Aufgenommen in den Loft Studios in Surrey, produzierte Draper das Album gemeinsam mit Paul „PDub“ Walton (The Cure, U2, Björk, Massive Attack, Oasis). Die Aufnahmen beinhalten ein Streichquartett unter der Leitung von Audrey Riley (Muse, Coldplay, Nick Cave), während Julian Fenton, Mansuns Schlagzeuger aus den Anfangstagen, das Schlagzeug spielte. Draper selbst spielt Akustikbass, Akustikgitarre (Lead und Rhythmus) und Klavier.
Paul Draper: "I picked some of my favourite songs that I had written during my time in Mansun, ones that I also felt could be interpreted by a full unplugged acoustic band and reimagined in a more mature way for a new audience as well as existing fans."

Alongside news of his new album, Paul Draper has also just announced the ‘Mansun – The Hits’ Tour for March 2026. The shows will see Draper performing all 14 of Mansun’s Top 40 singles including ‘Wide Open Space’, ‘I Can Only Disappoint You’, ‘Taxloss’ and others with his full electric band.

In the late ‘90s, Mansun carved out their own corner of British music with albums like Attack of the Grey Lantern (a UK No.1), Six, and Little Kix - works that built a loyal following with Draper at the heart of the chaos. Nearly three decades later, he’s revisiting that world and meeting his younger self across the years.
In Spring 2026 Paul Draper will tour the UK, playing all Mansun’s Top 40 singles including 5 Top Ten’s with his full electric band at a series of prestigious venues.
