Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt - neues Album veröffentlicht
The Swedish power trio Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt has its roots in the free wave of rock music that in the late sixties opened doors and windows to a whole new world of colorful, mood-creating psychedelic experiences and expressions.
The trio's music is clearly rooted in the blues rock of the '60s and '70s, but also draws on prog, psychedelia, soul, and other genres. Sometimes it's rock-hard riffs, sometimes atmospheric harmonies. Sometimes it's choruses that hit home straight away, occasionally challenging and harsh improvisational parts. Sometimes a familiar twist, sometimes something unexpected...
Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt takes us on a journey
across both safe waters and through storms and hurricanes.
– It's not easy to put your finger on exactly which bands are closest to us, even for ourselves. But those who have heard us usually mention bands like Free, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and the legendary Swedish hard rock pioneers, November. And that's not entirely wrong!
– Something we think is among the most powerful things in music is dynamics. Those who listen to our album will be taken on a musical experience that includes everything from cold to heat and darkness to sunshine for 51 minutes. What you get is the harvest of what Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt has cooked up over the past few years in the rehearsal room, at gigs around the country, and in the studio, where it was all captured on a reel-to-reel tape recorder, to get the sound and feeling that cannot be captured in any other way.
The band consists of Sartez Faraj, who has previously made a name for himself as a singer and guitarist in the bands Siena Root, Three Seasons and Wooden Fields as well as a bassist in Mouth of Clay, but now plays the drums, Faraj's long-time musical partner Olle Risberg from Three Seasons on bass, and singer and guitarist Marcus Rogefeldt.
With their debut album, the trio strikes the music scene like thunder and lightning.
Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt is a trio you won't forget!

"Faraj Risberg Rogefeldt's debut album is reminiscent of the time between the 60s and 70s, when rock was heavy and blues-based, but psychedelically free in expression.
Think Cream, Mountain and Swedish November!"
