"Every album is a snapshot of who we were at that particular moment in time, and Legacy is exactly what the title suggests," erklärt Gitarrist Zoltan Bathory. "It's a reflection on the journey, the lessons, the victories, the struggles, and everything we've experienced over the last two decades."
Weiterhin sagt er: "What makes that journey meaningful is that we didn't make it alone. We traveled this road alongside millions of fans around the world and somehow became part of each other's lives. That's an incredible thing to reflect on twenty years later."

"'De Oppresso Liber' is more than just a motto," sagt Bathory. "It's a calling. It's a philosophy. It represents a willingness to stand between danger and those who cannot defend themselves. Throughout human history, there have always been people who were drawn to accept that responsibility. This song is our way of paying respect to that mindset."
Die erste Singleauskopplung „Eye Of The Storm“ erschien im vergangenen Monat und steht diese Woche bereits auf Platz 5 der US Rock-Radio-Charts. Gleichzeitig hat der Song bereits über 4 Millionen Streams auf Spotify erzielt. Revolver bezeichnete den Song als „huge“ und lobte insbesondere: „it mixes a flurry of battering metal chugs with a sense of melody, plus Ivan Moody's pensive-but-barked lyrics hinting at fears, regrets, burdens, blame, and the search for some kind of inner peace“. Loudwire schwärmte: „The song is a driving, furious banger that kicks off what's expected to be a new album cycle in grand fashion.“

In diesem Sommer starten Five Finger Death Punch die erste Etappe ihrer „20th Anniversary World Tour“. Diese führt sie gemeinsam mit den Special Guests Cody Jinks und Eva Under Fire quer durch Nordamerika, bevor die Arenatour Anfang 2027 zusammen mit Lamb Of God und Bleed From Within nach Europa kommt.
Die „20th Anniversary World Tour“ ist sowohl eine Feier als auch ein Statement, das den Werdegang der Band würdigt – von ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2005 über die Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums „The Way Of The Fist“ im Jahr 2007 bis hin zu ihrer Rolle als Headliner in Arenen weltweit. Die Setliste wird daher neben klassischen Hymnen und Nummer-1-Hits, die die letzten zwei Jahrzehnte geprägt haben, auch mit Material aus dem neuen Album gespickt sein.
Die von Live Nation produzierte Nordamerika-Tournee mit 48 Stationen beginnt am Montag, dem 20. Juli, im Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey. Ihr Ende findet sie am Freitag, dem 23. Oktober, im Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia.
Neben der Feier ihres zwanzigjährigen Musikjubiläum, will die Band erneut auch ihre Plattform nutzen, um etwas zurückzugeben. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH gilt seit langem als eine der wohltätigsten Rockbands und engagiert sich seit Jahrzehnten für verschiedene gute Zwecke, darunter US-Militärveteranen, Rettungskräfte und deren Familien. Im Jahr 2026 setzt die Band diese Tradition fort: Sie unterstützt das Team USA im Rahmen der bevorstehenden Olympischen und Paralympischen Spiele einsetzt, die 2028 auf amerikanischem Boden in Los Angeles stattfinden werden. Im Rahmen des, für die Tour gesetzten Ziels, die nächsten Generation amerikanischer Sportler zu fördern, kommt ein Teil der Ticketeinnahmen der Nordamerika-Tournee 2026 den Hochleistungsprogrammen für US-amerikanische Olympia- und Paralympics-Athleten zugute, während diese sich auf internationale Wettkämpfe vorbereiten.

Die europäische Teil der Tour mit Lamb Of God und Bleed From Within startet am Samstag, dem 16. Januar 2027, in Manchester (UK) und führt die Band durch 21 Städte in Großbritannien und Europa, bevor sie am 22. Februar 2027 in Helsinki endet.
