Das ursprünglich 2008 erschienene Album "Tightly Unwound" markierte einen entscheidenden Wendepunkt in der Entwicklung von The Pineapple Thief: Es verband atmosphärische Melancholie mit ausgeprägter Dynamik, komplexen Arrangements und dem zunehmend souveränen Songwriting von Bruce Soord. Das Album gilt weithin als eines der prägenden Werke im Katalog der Band und trug maßgeblich dazu bei, jene klangliche Identität zu etablieren, die The Pineapple Thief den Weg auf die internationale Bühne ebnete.

Dieser neue, von Bruce Soord fertiggestellte Remix aus dem Jahr 2025 verleiht dem Album neue Tiefe und Klarheit, ohne dabei die Spannung und emotionale Intensität der Originalaufnahmen zu beeinträchtigen. Der 2025er-Mix, der zuvor nur als Teil des "Retracing Our Steps"-Earbooks erhältlich war, erscheint nun erstmals als eigenständige Ausgabe auf schwarzem Doppel-Vinyl.

Formed in 1999 by songwriter and producer Bruce Soord, The Pineapple Thief have steadily evolved into one of the UK’s most respected modern progressive rock bands. Since the original release of Tightly Unwound, the band’s profile has grown dramatically through extensive international touring, acclaimed releases including Your Wilderness, Dissolution and Versions Of The Truth, and a run of UK chart success that has cemented their reputation well beyond the progressive scene.

Tightly Unwound will be released on Kscope on 7th August.
