"Aus Baltimore, USA, kommt das Psychedelic-Blues-Quartett The Flying Eyes, das sich in Machart und instrumentaler Besetzung zwischen The 13th Floor Elevators, den Doors und Retro-Rock platziert. The Flying Eyes are a heavy, psychedelic rock band hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. Their name comes from a 1962 science fiction novel about giant, disembodied eyes that descend from outer space to control humanity... 

Since forming, they have played support gigs for bands such as Dead Meadow, The Raveonettes, The Black Angels, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti and Dan Auerbach among many others. They also founded and hosted Farm Fest, a DIY music festival in the Maryland countryside that ran for 6 years. The last Farm Fest in 2012 featured Black Moth Super Rainbow, Celebration and White Hills, drawing over 800 fans.

The Flying Eyes have swiftly achieved a notable following in Europe with extensive club tours and festival appearances. Highlights include: Burg Herzberg Festival 2010 (sharing the main stage with Jeff Beck and Hawkwind), an appearance on the legendary Rockpalast Crossroads show broadcast on German national TV, Orange Blossom Special festival (DE), Stoned From The Underground (DE) and Trutnov Open Air (CZ). 

In July 2013, The Flying Eyes released their third album "Lowlands" (produced by Rob Girardi and mixed by Chris "Frenchie" Smith), which was paid for entirely by the support of their fans through Kickstarter. They supported the record with a 52 date headlining tour of Europe and closed out the year with a one off performance in India at the Synchronicity Festival. 70s Doommetal Psych Pop Stoner Rock Band aus Bordeaux

MARS RED SKY aus Frankreich zählen mittlerweile zu den beliebtesten Stoner Rock Bands im europäischen Raum. Considered as one of the greats of the European stoner rock scene, MARS RED SKY have gained international recognition thanks to a unique sound imprint based on thick infectious grooves and melodic aerial guitar riffs. 70s Psychedelic Progressive Rock Band aus Aschaffenburg

Beeindruckende Zeitreise zurück in die Sechziger/Siebziger mit einer jungen Band aus Aschaffenburg. 

Mensch, da hat man vor lauter Euphorie über die ganzen großartigen Bands im Genre Retro-Rock doch tatsächlich nur im Ausland und da ganz besonders in Schweden Ausschau nach neuen Highlights gehalten. Dabei stehen mit den Berlinern KADAVAR und den hier vorliegenden ORCUS CHYLDE zwei überragende Bands aus Deutschland in den Startlöchern. Schaut man auf das großartige Cover-Artwork des gleichnamigen ORCUS CHYLDE-Albums, kann man schon erahnen, wohin die Reise mit der Band aus Aschaffenburg geht. 

Der Opener '7th Angel' eröffnet mit warmen Orgelklängen und steigert sich dann zum melodischen Psychedelic-Track in bester Retro-Manier - hier ist Spielfreude trumpf. Das folgende, straight nach vorne gehende 'Valley Of Thornes' ist, um es kurz zu machen, der Oberhammer. Schön riffig und treibend rockend mit viel Orgel und Oldschool-Sound ist diese Nummer ein gefundenes Fressen für alle Krautrock-Fans. Sich im schön entspannten Mittelpart ausruhend geht es mit der Orgel im Anschlag auch schon wieder temporeich und leicht progressiv weiter. Ist nach sieben Minuten diese überragende Verbeugung vor den Sechzigern/Siebzigern dann auch vorbei, folgt mit dem Titeltrack auch schon der nächste Knaller. Schön ruhig und dezent instrumentiert beginnend geht es dann Schritt für Schritt härter zur Sache. Nach dem akustischen 'As Time Will Burg Us All' folgt mit 'Over The Frozen Rivers' der nicht nur längste, sondern auch komplexeste Song des Albums. Auch wieder schön ruhig atmosphärisch einleitend erhöht sich die Schlagzahl der Nummer stetig bis zum progressiven Finale, wo das Zusammenspiel der einzelnen Instrumente zur Offenbarung avanciert. Mit dem fast schon doomigen und damit etwas aus der Reihe tanzenden 'Quiet Walls' und dem abschließenden 'Cold Man' mit seinen schönen Melodien und dem Laut- und Leise-Spiel kommt man bei den acht Tracks auf ORCUS CHYLDE auf eine Spielzeit von knapp 50 Minuten. 

Neben den ganzen aktuellen Bands wie GRAVEYARD, DEAN ALLEN FOYD, ELETRIC SWAN, BLUES PILLS oder KADAVAR, kommt man als Liebhaber des Retro-Styles definitiv nicht an ORCUS CHYLDE vorbei. Vor allem werden die Jahrescharts nicht ohne die Band auskommen können, dies steht jetzt schon mal fest.

ALL THEM WITCHES (USA)
Psychedelta Blues Rock aus Nashville

Ihre Mischung aus bluesig rockenden Grooves und abdriftenden Heavy Psych-Jams berühren jeden geneigten Zuhörer sofort in seinem tiefsten Inneren, weshalb es auch so schnell ging, dass sich ALL THEM WITCHES dank zwei fantastischer Alben eine großen Hörerschaft gewiss sein können. Ihr selbstveröffentlichtes Debut 'Our Mother Electricity' erschien im Juni 2012 und wurde wenige Monate später vom Münchner Label Elektrohasch lizensiert. Damit waren die Jungs die Ersten, die als amerikanische Band bei dem qualitativ hochwertigem deutschen Label unter Vertrag genommen wurden. Kurz darauf wurde 2013 ihr zweites Album 'Lightning At The Door' veröffentlicht. Wieder ein atemberaubendes Meisterstück mit Underground Desert Vibes.

Nashville-based ALL THEM WITCHES impress in both their cohesiveness of sound and their obvious drive toward an individual approach. Their blend of blues rocking grooves and heavy psych-derived jamming comes through clearly, and has wasted no time in getting to the public’s ears thanks to two stunning albums. 

Their debut LP, Our Mother Electricity was released in early 2012, making them the first American band to release an album through Germany’s Elektrohasch, heavy psyche innovator Stefan Koglek’s personal imprint. They soon became known for their engaging live shows. They quickly followed this up in July of 2013 with the Extra Pleasant EP, recorded direct to a four-track cassette tape with two microphones with their DIY aesthetic firmly established.

When their sophomore effort, Lightning At The Door, was informally released as a surprise to hungry fans in November of 2013, they quickly sold through their physical stock of discs, receiving more praise for their ability to balance dense, chugging tracks like “Swallowed by the Sea” with soulful, bluesy ones like “The Marriage of Coyote Woman.” 

Not ones for taking a break, ATW recorded a live album in early March of 2014 to fully reflect the raw and unyielding nature of their stage show. ALL THEM WITCHES is not slowing down, and that’s just the way they like it. They’re hitting the road hard in the coming months, we’ll see if the road can take it.

Garage Blues Punk Two Piece Band aus Baltimore

Lazlo Lee & The Motherless Children kommen wie THE FLYING EYES aus Baltimore und sind das erste Mal in Europa unterwegs. Wir dürfen uns auf aggressiven und doch gefühlvollen Garage Blues Punk gefasst machen, unterstützt von treibenden Beats und Rock'n' Roll Gitarren. Die White Stripes gepaart mit einem Schuss Whiskey, ein Spritzer Led Zeppelin und The Sonics obendrauf und man erhält das, was die Musik des Trios ausmacht.

Lazlo Lee and The Motherless Children are a blues/garage rock-n-roll band out of Baltimore City. Lazlo, with his howling vox and guitar, front this two-piece band that was named after the old blues traditional 'Motherless Children'. With the fast, heavy hitting Cocaine Jim on the drums, this act thrives on their energetic live preformance with catchy riffs and the ability to turn on any crowd.

Lazlo and The Motherless have had the privilege to share the stage with such acts like The Dex Romweber Duo, The Dirtbombs, Biters, Hot Snakes,The Flying Eyes, Dirty Fences and Paint Fumes, amongst other great acts. The band realeased their self-titled EP in 2008, and have been on the rotation of several Baltimore radio stations since. Lazlo Lee and The Motherless Children are realeasing "Dirty Horns", a full length LP, this autumn while on their first European tour, and will be back in the studio recording another EP come winter.
