Kritik:
Nach kurzer Intonierung erfolgt der großartige Theme Soundtrack der Serie, der für mich bereits jetzt zu einem der besten im Hörspielgenre zählt. Episch, bedrückend und dunkel entfacht er eine unterschwellige Erwartung an das Kommende. Auch mit dem 2. Teil der Clive Barker Mysteries geht man eher ruhige Wege. Lyrik u. Poetik herrscht auch hier in vielen Schilderungen sowie einigen Dialogen vor. Eine Tatsache, die auch bei „Jaqueline Ess“ nicht negativ oder störend ins Gewicht fällt und das Flair der Serie , im Beriech des unterschwelligen Grauens, eher noch fördert. Ebenfalls verwurstet man viel an Tiefenpsychologie innerhalb der von Lust, Begierde und innerer Aufgabe dominierten Handlung. Wie schon bei „Moloch Angst“ sind die Sprecher klasse besetzt. Aus Kostengründen teilt sich annähernd der selbe Cast wie in Folge 1 die Rollen, mit dem Unterschied, dass Haupt - und Nebensprecher bei „Jaqueline Ess“ die Rollen tauschen. Auf diese Art fallen die Doppelbesetzungen der wirklich tollen Sprecher zu keiner Zeit ins Gewicht. Soundtechnsich brilliert man mit glasklaren, druckvollen und sehr lebensechten Klangwelten, die der Reihe große Glaubwürdigkeit verpassen. Alles in allem untermauert „Jaqueline Ess“ den Ausnahmestatus einer besonderen, speziellen Serie, die in ihrer Machart perfekt ist, mit ihrer Thematik aber wohl eher ein spezielles Publikum ansprechen dürfte.
Fazit: Wieder spielt man schonungslos und offen mit der menschlichen Psychologie und überzeugt mit einer klasse Produktion. Es bleibt aber speziell.
