Der talentierte Bluesrockgitarrist Jonny Lang unterzeichnete just einen Plattenvertrag bei der Mascot Label Group und wird den Nachfolger seines mit einem Grammy ausgezeichneten Albums „Turn Around“ Ende August veröffentlichen.
This week, the first single from ex-Melvins/Clown Alley guitarist MARK DEUTROM's third solo album, Brief Sensuality and Western Violence, has been released preceding the LP's release. Rolling with nearly five and a half minutes of fuzz-laden wandering riffs, the vividly visual lyrics in "Sky Full Of Witches" may at first instigate acid-trip Halloween tales, yet the true story being told here is one much more ominous and fully grounded in our present day of technological overexpansion.

Dallas death metal battalion CLERIC will crush the weak with their disparaging debut LP, Gratum Inferno, through their local cohorts at independent waxmongers Tofu Carnage Records this fall, the label now confirming the street date for the record as September 26th.
Formed by members of Kill the Client, Baring Teeth, and Tyrannosorceress, CLERIC fuses their old-school death metal aggressive tendencies here into a relentless attack, which their Gratum Inferno LP attempts to capture in full-force.
In celebration of its official unveiling today via Seventh Rule Recordings, Revolver Magazine is streaming All Hail Corrosion, the latest offering from Portland funeral doomists EPHEMEROS.
Boasting just three tracks, All Hail Corrosion nods its heavy, sullen head to the likes of Mournful Congregation, Loss and Asunder whilst delving into deeper, darker, more acerbic death/sludge territory. The end product is a gutting onslaught of slow, suffocating riffs, scorned vocals and a profound sense of misery, one that Pitchfork calls "the sonic equivalent of oxidizing razors and toppling gravestones," and Echoes and Dust equates to "the soundtrack to one of those nights you're reaching for a bottle or hallucinating a life you never lived and/or never fucking wanted."
