As BLIND TO FAITH prepares for the unveiling of their Under The Heptagram, another new single from the EP has been cast onto out into the population. With a severely cavernous production, "Burial Of Mankind" pounds the listener mercilessly with their metallic, punk-fueled audio beating until midway through, when things slow to a whispering crawl before building back up with a slow-motion dirge and unloading with the most upbeat attack on the impending thee-song release.
Today, the gatekeepers at Pitchfork shake some pavement with a premiere of "Anchor," from NYC psychedelic doom makers, BLACKOUT. Perfectly loud, trippy, and fuzzed-out, the tune comes by way of the trio's forthcoming We Are Here debut, slated for release later this month. Recorded at Vacation Island Studio with engineer/producer Rob Laakso (Diamond Nights, Swirlies, Kurt Vile), the red-eyed, six-track beast of long player has been reaping praise from fans and critics nationally for its inexorable riff worship and planet rupturing bottom-end.
New Jersey genre-jumping technicians EAST OF THE WALL have released "Arbiters Meet," the first song from the band's upcoming fourth full-length record, Redaction Artifacts. The single is synced to a look into the album's recording process, using footage that the band shot throughout the tracking and mixing sessions.
"Arbiters Meet" is now a featured video at Metal Injection RIGHT HERE.
Currently spreading their negativity, hatred and audio wrath to the masses on a short run of roadside assaults, today Denver blackened doom metal agitators, PRIMITIVE MAN, give back to the community with a bonus track from their critically-lauded Scorn full-length.
Recorded by Dave Otero at Flatline Audio (Cephalic Carnage, Catheter, Cobalt, etc.), Scorn is a physically and psychologically eviscerating sound excursion initially unleashed earlier this year via a collaboration between Throatruiner and Mordgrimm Records before being reissued by Relapse this past August. Applauded for a "totally malignant sounding record ... that will consume you whole if you're not careful,"
Them, the first LP from UK hardcore punk trio SATANIC MALFUNCTIONS, is out now via Poland's demolition experts, Selfmadegod Records. Surging with rabid, old-school circle-pit intensity and politically-oriented, cynical and pissed-off lyrical tirades, Them dispatches twenty tracks in just over thirty minutes, resulting in one of those "get this now" releases for devotees to acts like Active Minds, Disorder, Doom, Atavistic, Electro Hippies, L'arm and Heresy.
