Wacken Open Air 2014 – Das Jubiläums-Line-Up füllt sich
Metal Underground bids you harm and ill will this weekend with a stream of Sounds of the End, the forthcoming new full-length from Tasmanian technical death metal horde, MEPHISTOPHELES. Featuring former members of Spawn of Possession, Psycroptic and Space Raven among others, MEPHISTOPHELES fuses their collective penchant for Athiest, Deeds of Flesh, Opeth, Cynic and Deicide into a flesh-eating hailstorm of intricately structured, sonic brutality.
New Jersey-based progressive metal unit EAST OF THE WALL will be releasing their fourth full-length, Redaction Artifacts, on October 29th, once again through Translation Loss Records.
EAST OF THE WALL's first record since the departure of bassist Brett Bamberger and guitarist Kevin Conway sees the band's style expanding into a newer archetype, the sound of Redaction Artifacts surging with a more direct and driving core while the mellower and melodious atmospheres of the songwriting sound more vibrant and cohesive than ever.
Brooklyn's super-ultra heavier than hell self-dubbed "beard impregnating doom metal" quintet CLEANTEETH will finally deliver their debut LP, Pushing Rope.
Capturing the massively dense wall of amplification the CLEANTEETH pirates boast live, Pushing Rope unloads forty-five minutes of caustic, thundering metal interrupted occasionally by noxious techno-soundtrack blackout interludes, all conveyed with the savage strength of a coked-up yeti with a third testicle while delivering the infectiousness of Ebola.
In just a few short days, New York City black metal legion, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT, will unleash their latest recorded studio rituals in the form of Goliath.
Featuring two unsettling tracks of grimness, the nihilistic Goliath was forged on February of 2013 at Menegroth the Thousand Caves, and engineered, mixed and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice, Nader Sadek, Atheist, Origin etc.). Goliath centers itself around the biblical accounts of Sodom and Gomorrah - two cities, synonymous with impenitent sin, consumed by fire, brimstone and eternal sorrow under the manifestation of God's wrath on the Day of Judgment.
