Knapp neun Monate nach der feierlichen Eröffnung des REC in Würselen erfreut sich der neue Eventtempel bereits enormer Beliebtheit – und das weit über die Euregio hinaus.
Das gilt insbesondere für die Rock-Szene, deren Veranstalter die moderne 2.500-Mann Halle auffällig häufig für ihre Tourstarts buchen. Das war beim ausverkauften Deutschland-Auftakt von Frei.Wild im April der Fall und wiederholt sich diesen Herbst/Winter bei den mit Spannung erwarteten Shows von Kärbholz (Tourstart am 08.11.13 im REC) sowie der Christmas Metal Symphony, die am 17.12.13 den Auftakt ihrer Europa-Gastspielreise in Würselen feiert.
Spanish most legendary and pioneer Thrash Metal band FUCK OFF is about to unleash their long awaited comeback album!! Just one year after their 1988 debut album “Another Sacrifice” was re-issued, the band, reformed in 2010, will see their 3rd full length “Smile As You Kill” released soon through Xtreem Music / MDD Records.
"Smile As You Kill" will contain 7 new songs, a re-recording of 87's "People in War" from their very first 7"EP and a cover of RAINBOW's "Long Live Rock & Roll" which was intented for a DIO tribute album with spanish bands that was supposed to come out in early 2011.

Having sought out DIY director and filmmaker Andrew Nethery (Melvins, Kyuss Lives, Six Feet Under, Dead Meadow, Death By Stereo) to guide and capture their vision, SECRETS OF THE SKY traveled to the Southern end of their home state and set up camp for several days.
TRIPHON has signed on with Australian based Management agency KILLSHOT MGMT for all Worldwide Bookings. This comes in anticipation of their worldwide tour support of their upcoming sophomore album. Triphon frontman Kyle Morrison comments, "We are thrilled to work with the crew at Killshot. This is a truly exciting arrival after talking with many different agencies over the past year. Our second album is shaping up nicely and we are looking forward to supporting it on the road next year."
Northern Virginia-based trio DRUGS OF FAITH has completed the final stages of their upcoming new EP as they prepare it for release late this Autumn.
The first new recordings to emerge since their 2011 Corroded album, DRUGS OF FAITH let loose with four brand new tracks on the freshly finished Architectural Failures EP. The band's patented rocked-out grindcore approach here shows some brutally awesome dissonant tones and more expansive dimensions with a crushing metallic production courtesy of the sessions at Developing Nations with Kevin Bernsten (Full Of Hell, Inter Arma, Ilsa, Coke Bust) and final mastering by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed).
